One of the original partners of McKimm & Lott, Christopher Lott was called to the bar in 1975 and has been resident on the Saanich Peninsula since 1980.  Chris focuses on complex estate issues and real estate, but brings a wealth of knowledge to his legal practice including general solicitor matters and estate litigation.

When not providing legal advice or spending time with his family, Chris enjoys sailing the local and surrounding waters as often as he can.

Coll Gordon is a partner at McKimm & Lott and has been practicing with the firm since his call to the Bar in 2006.

Coll’s practice focuses on helping clients involved in litigation of all types, including employment, construction and contractual disputes and family and estate matters.

Coll has successfully represented clients in trials, appeals and hearings throughout the province at every level of court and in front of various administrative tribunals including the BC Human Rights Tribunal, Employment Standards Tribunal and the Agricultural Land Commission.

Damon celebrated his 20th anniversary in the practice of law in 2024.  He began his legal career in Alberta, then moved to British Columbiaand joined McKimm & Lott in 2010.  His practice areas include estate planning, business and company transactions, real estate and strata corporations. 

Damon lives on the Saanich Peninsula with his wife and their teenage children, and can be found criss-crossing Greater Victoria by e-bike in his spare time. He also serves as a volunteer strata president and legal advisor to local charities and societies.

Kate Fischer received her law degree from the University of Victoria in 2003 and was called to the Bar in 2004.  After practicing at a respected Vancouver firm Kate joined McKimm & Lott in 2010.

Kate lives on Salt Spring Island and is based in McKimm & Lott’s  office there. She maintains a general solicitor practice with an emphasis on estate planning and probate practice, as well as residential real estate.

Away from the office Kate is occupied with her two young daughters, and enjoys reading in any spare time she can find.

Tybring is a criminal law litigator with over 30 years of experience.  He received his law degree from the University of Victoria in 1992 and was called to the Bar of British Columbia in 1993 after articling with McKimm & Lott.

Tybring has successfully argued cases before the Provincial, Supreme and Appeals Courts of British Columbia.  Tybring has defended clients on a wide variety of criminal charges, including murder, all forms of assault, robbery, impaired and other driving offences, theft, fraud and drug charges. 

Tybring is also associated with the Faculty of Law at the University of Victoria as an Instructor in the Clinical Law Program or “Law Centre”, a legal clinic staffed by law students that provides free legal service to people with insufficient means to retain a lawyer otherwise.  Tybring brings his experience to bear to assist and supervise students in the conduct of files. 

Since McKimm & Lott have offices in both Sidney and on Salt Spring Island, Tybring is able, and regularly does, appear in person to represent clients in Ganges Provincial Court.

Naomi Stevens

Naomi Stevens is an associate at McKimm and Lott. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of Victoria in 2022 and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2023.

Naomi specializes in family law and wills and estates.

She can advise you on a broad range of family law issues, including child and spousal support, parenting arrangements, and property division. Naomi can also provide you with effective and thorough family agreements, including marriage, cohabitation, and separation agreements.

In addition to her family law practice, Naomi frequently assists her clients with their estate planning needs, including preparing wills, powers of attorney, and health care representation agreements.

When she’s not in the office, Naomi enjoys traveling, going to the movies, and spending time with her family and her Yorkie, Albert.
